Wayne Cahill is the Chair of The Co-Group and a senior leader in Australia’s health and aged-care sector. A long-time Partner at Ashurst/Blake Dawson, he continues to head the firm’s Health and Aged Care Practice and has previously served as CEO of several major health organisations, including ACHS and multiple Area Health Services. Wayne has chaired HealthDirect Australia, Homestay Care Limited, and holds board roles across Navy Health and other national health bodies. He is a long-recognised “Best Lawyer” in Corporate and Health Law (2008–2023), an ACHSE Gold Medal recipient, and a Life Member of ACHSE.
David brings extensive corporate governance and commercial experience, having held senior executive roles at Capel Court and board positions with Godfrey Hirst Australia, Paul Ramsay Group entities, and several ASX-listed companies. He has chaired the State Transit Authority of NSW, Sydney Ferries, Mosaic Oil NL, Pro-Pac Packaging and Fraser Range Holdings. A Fellow of the AICD with a BA from UNSW, David also chairs the Commercial Travellers Association and Commercial Travellers Business Club. He joined The Co-Group Board in 2018.
Peter McKendry is the CEO and Executive Director of The Co-Group, where he has grown the organisation from a greenfield initiative into a major not-for-profit supporting disability and aged-care providers. He has consulted with more than 80 providers on financial and operational strategy during periods of rapid expansion and is recognised for helping organisations become leading regional services. Previously a Non-Executive Director of Mountain Biking Australia for over a decade, he helped unify 19 boards into what is now Cycling Australia. Peter is dedicated to improving outcomes for people with disability and older Australians through strong systems, sector expertise and technology.
